Our favorite season of the year is finally upon us!
No, it’s not fall. Nor is it back-to-school. It’s not even football season. No, our favorite season of the year is none other than the fantastically festive German celebration known the world over as Oktoberfest!
As reluctant as we are to accept the end of summer, we find the changing of seasons more manageable with the arrival of perhaps our favorite style beer of them all — the full-bodied, perfectly balanced, mildly-sweet, malty-backboned, caramel-colored Oktoberfest. Of course, we could get into the differences between the Marzen-style and Festbier, but that’s besides the point and already been explained away at least 92,000 times (we do prefer Festbier, in case you’re wondering). The arrival of Oktoberfest to taps around the Land of 10,000 Lakes deserves its own fanfare, and many breweries, brewpubs, bars and restaurants are gearing up for celebrations of their own.
With so many events happening, it can be hard to keep track of them all. We haven’t done a perfect job, but we think we’ve done an adequate one.
